My son Stephen is now 16 months old. So, that means that it has taken me more than 16 months to complete this DV short that features time-lapse footage of me painting a fish mural on his nursery walls.
I make no apologies. The footage was shot and in the can, but it took all this time for me to find the time to edit and finish the piece. Once I did that it was easy, the actual post-production only taking a couple of hours over several evenings.
You can also access this and other DV shorts on the main stevesmart.com menu under the My DVfilms heading. Also, this file is a bit on the large size at 8 megs, but I wanted to keep the motion smooth for the time-lapse effect, so for the web version I kept the framerate high. Sorry.
Oh, BTW... the music you hear was stolen from Danny Elfman's amazing soundtrack to Edward Scissorhands.
