Peder Norrby's Trapcode has released a cool new plugin for After Effects called Particular which offers a 3d particle system for $299.
I'm a big fan of Trapcode's other products, having used Shine and 3d Stroke for several years now. I've always liked his products because they were simple, straight forward and they worked. Plus, they were always reasonably priced. In fact, Particular is the first of their products to creep beyond the $200 mark.
