As a follow-up to this post, I need to announce that I did wait until the new iPods were announced. The announcement came sooner rather than later, and I'm glad I waited.
I plunked down my hard-earned (seriously) freelance money on a gleaming new, fourth generation, 40gig iPod. And now, a week or so later, I can also announce that the sucker is scratched both front and back from riding around in my laptop bag unprotected. Damnit!
But, it does still play great music (or does it play music greatly?) and that's what really counts, right?
So far, I've got the iPod "linked" to my home computer and the songs loaded there in iTunes. I'm still thinking through how best to sync up with my iTunes at work and the 8 days worth of music there. I've got a lot to learn about iPod "Best Practices."
Stay tuned...
ipod armor - totally recommended.
best $50 I've spent after learning that the subzero temps that fly off frozen rivers in the winter don't do much good to the ipod.
