Just yesterday I completed my last training run before this Saturday's Country Music half-marathon. Since non of my usual co-worker / running buddies were available, I set out alone.
This was my second time running with my new iPod Shuffle that I bought earlier this month. I cooked up a running playlist of up tempo movie soundtrack tunes to keep me motivated. A fair number came from the soundtrack to The Incredibles.
(Here's a link to a portion of my running playlist as an iMix on ITMS)
A few things I learned on this training run: I really need to get some sort of armband. Carrying the Shuffle in the palm of my hand is no good. It's certainly not heavy, but after 40 minutes of running it's fairly well covered in sweat.
Apple sells an armband for the Shuffle, but it lists for $29.99. That seems a bit steep to me. Maybe I can find a DIY solution.
Also, I need to get some in-ear headphones. The ear buds that ship with the shuffle are the same that came with my 40gig iPod, and while they sound great when I'm just sitting in the office, while running they tend to bounce around.
