This must be a great time for those who love documentaries. I remember a few years ago when you almost never saw documentary films advertised or marketed in any serious way. At the time, documentaries were seen only on your local PBS station. My, how times have changed. Take a look some of the trailers on Apple.com for upcoming documentaries covering a wide variety of topics, from kids learning ballroom dance steps to guys playing rough-and-tumble wheelchair rugby.
Yep, there were some great documentaries in the theatres recently. However, the best ones are still being broadcasted by the BBC; even "deep blue" was more or less just a "best of" of blue planet...
Good point. Here in the US, PBS' show Frontline produces some really top quality shows, many of which are available online.
