I'm going to disable new comments on this blog until I get a handle on all the crazy comment spam that's been hammering me lately. I really think an upgrade to MT3.2 is in order. The new SpamLookup plugin seems to really be putting a dent in the problem.
I had been sort of in the "yeah, it's a problem, but really more annoying than anything else" mode for a while and just deleting the spam as it trickled in. What really made me turn the corner was seeing all the really rude porn spam that was showing up on our family site.
