During his keynote today at the 2006 WWDC, Steve Jobs announced the long awaited replacement to the G5 PowerMac workstation: the new Xeon powered Mac Pro.
During the keynote, Jobs also showed the first preview Leopard, the next generation of OS X. Here's a preview from Apple.
All of this makes me really excited that I'm switching back to the Mac platform after about 9 years away. I'm just tired, I guess of the overall "hassle" of Windows. I want something that's exciting, a little more on the fringe that has a very passionate community of users and developers. You rarely find people who love working on Windows. Most folks work on the Windows platform because they simply have to due to the market.
