I was reading up on some of the details of this year's Adobe MAX devcon, in particular the Max Awards (more on that later) and I noticed that the location is in Vegas this year at The Venetian Hotel.
While checking out the story at the Venetian, I was interested to see that the hotel is built on the site of the old Sands Hotel, which was one of the stomping grounds of the original Rat Pack back in the day. In fact, what really got me excited was reading that part of the orginial Ocean's Eleven was filmed at the Sands.
I'm sure the Venetian is a fine, modern hotel... but man, how wild would it be to roam around an old-school haunt like the Sands. Probably no wi-fi in the lobby, though.
