Recently, at my day job, we purchased Flash Media Server and we're in the process of installing it in our data center as well as building out a series of templates to handle all manner of media: video-on-demand, video with slides, audio broadcasts, etc.
As part of this effort we have a little bit of money in our budget for training. In their official certified training curriculum, Adobe has a great 3-day session all about FMS that would be perfect for us. The problem is that we're having trouble finding a certified Adobe partner that offers the course. I can find some trainers that have the course in their catalog, but they've not added it to their calendar, and apparently have no plans to do so. With all the buzz and movement around Flash video and Flash Media Server (look at Brightcove for one example) I'm surprised that there isn't more training outlets offering FMS courseware.
Figleaf, a great training and software company in the D.C. area, will offer the FMS class, but they require a minimum of two people in a class before they will put it on their calendar. We can only send one person, so if you, or anyone you know, is thinking about taking a Flash Media Server course, please call Figleaf. If you do, we can work together to schedule a time with them and get this course off the ground.
Seriously, we really want to take this course and we need to before our training budget slips away.

Thanks for listening.
