No, I'm actually not in Times Square today. But some work I created is. I recently created a 30 second animation loop for Deloitte's Technology Media and Telecommunications practice to celebrate their Technology Fast 500 list. The video was shown today and yesterday on the NASDAQ MarketSite Tower in Times Square.
The animation loop, which you can preview here, was created entirely in After Effects without any video footage to work with. The shots of racing cars were created by animating still images past the 3d camera. For the single car racing alone, I used expressions to add some shake and jitter to simulate the effect of racing super fast.
UPDATE: I was able to record a stream from a webcam across the street from the NASDAQ during the 30 seconds that this animation ran. Click here to view the recording of the webcam
