The Hill

Our nation's capitol, as seen in a 30 second @ f8.0 exposure on a cold January night.

I'm in D.C. for a video shoot and after dinner my coworker and I spent some time strolling the mall in the cold. I didn't have a tripod handy, so for this the camera was right on the ground with one of my gloves used to angle up the lens just slightly. The bright blue light on the right side is the moon shining through the clouds which hung low in the sky and reflected a light of ambient light.

It was colder than heck on that stroll. But obviously worth it to get a shot like this.. stunning stuff. Bravo.
